This is an interesting decision. Walk-on Nate Montana has decided to transfer to a junior college with the intentions of getting playing time and experience, then transferring back to ND in the spring. I like the idea. Obviously we're set at QB this year and probably the next 3 with either Clausen or Cryst, but at this point we don't have anyone being groomed to step in after that that I'm excited about. The thing that kind of shocked me is the mention of Evan Sharpley returning for his 5th year. Man, it seems like he's been there forever! I'm guessing he's #3 QB behind Clausen and Cryst, so obviously Nate would have no hope for any snaps. The season will be here before we know it, and I'm excited!
