Well, the USA Today Coach's Poll came out, and though it is controversial to many, the Fighting Irish are #23. Most seem to feel it has to do with the soft schedule, but that's all right by me. Some of you are going to think I'm crazy, but seeing how we start off at home vs. Nevada, at Michigan, home vs. MSU, at Purdue, and at Washington followed by a week off, I predict we will be around #16-17 going into the USC game. Unfortunately, I'm sure that will knock us down, but we haven't been up around there in awhile. I still say a 9-10 win season is realistic with the schedule. I have outlined it in previous posts, but bottom line is finally an experienced QB with and experienced offensive line. Two phenominal receivers and two solid Tight Ends. A fairly experienced defense. The Running Back situation still concerns me, but once again we have plenty of experience there and 3 or 4 to choose from. It's getting close, and I'm getting excited! Can't wait to go see them play Michigan St. with my dad! By the way, we picked up another 2010 recruit-a NC kid, Prince Shembo. Defensive End. Not extremely highly regarded, but sounds like a nice pick-up. The school I teach at and coach at plays his basketball team this season. Of course he is a good hoops player as well.
