Well, the 2-1 Irish head into Lafayette at #32 in one poll and #34 in the other. Purdue comes in at 1-2 after their loss to Northern Illinois last week. The line has us favored by 8. Purdue has given up 31 to Toledo, 38 to Oregon, and 28 to N.Illinois. My prediction is a lot of points for ND even without Michael Floyd. I hope Charlie spreads it out again with Tate, Rudolph, Kamara, and Parris. That is pretty tough to defend. My question is can we get any kind of pass rush? If we give QB, Joey Elliott all day like the MSU QB's, he's going to kill us. He's completing 61% of his passes with 4 TDs thus far, but he has 5 INTs. They also have a solid RB, Ralph Bolden. He has 421 yards and 4 TDs in 3 games. However, N. Illinois held him to 64 yards and our run D looked decent last week. He is averaging 6.8 a carry though. My prediction: Notre Dame 42 Purdue 27. We can hope to move up a little with Miami and Virginia Tech playing each other, TCU @ Clemson, Washington @ Stanford, Texas Tech @ Houston, and Georgia Tech/North Carolina. I say we're right around #30 or a little better after this week.
